Dogs in ballroom crating area after show hours

If you are going to leave your dogs in the hotel ballroom crating area overnight, you MUST arrange with anyone else who is leaving dogs for one of you to stay there with the dogs during the night. Someone will need to monitor the dogs so they don't disturb other guests in the hotel from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM. There will be a camp bed available to use with your own bedding. Anyone leaving dogs in the crating area will be asked to fill out a notecard with emergency contact information to place on your dog's crate. This is a curtesy extended to us by the hotel, so please do not abuse it. The long-range forecast is calling for much cooler temperatures in Gettysburg from M-Thursday and still average temperatures F-Sunday.

Agility --food available on site

Coming to Agility? Don't worry about getting hungry--the snack bar in the AllStar center will be open! Remember that Agility is in the AllStar Center, on hotel grounds, not in the hotel ballroom. It's an easy walk on the hotel sidewalks or you can load up your car and  park for free in the parking lot.

Ring Area Set-Up

There have been several questions about the set up for the National.  I’ll try to give you a visual. If you go to http://www.eisenhower.com/resourcefiles/pdf/eisenhower-hotel-first-floor.pdf for a floor plan of the Eisenhower I, you’ll see that the Grand Ballroom consists of Longstreet Suites on one side, Ballroom in the middle and Grant, McClellan and Lee Suites on the other end. The Longstreet Suites and the Ballroom area in the middle will be open for the ring and spectator seating. The Lee and McClellan Suites will also be opened up to form a crating area.  Premium Grooming spaces (5’ by 5’) are in the first two rows of the crating area (they are sold out). Crating will begin behind Premium Grooming and go to the back of this area. PLEASE stack your crates to maximize the room. ). There will also be a paddock area for dogs waiting to show unless the space is required for crating. Overflow crating will be in part of one hallway outside the ballroom. I hope this helps explain the layout better for everyone.
