Evanger's Pre-Orders

The National's sponsor will be taking pre-orders until June 4th for cases of canned dog food to be picked up and paid for at the National. See http://www.evangersdogfood.com/index.php if you would like to know more about the product. The representative said cases of Handpacked will be $20 and all others will be $15. Email lbcranmer@juno.com before the end of the day June 4th to place your pre-orders.

Screen Print Wearables Deadline Approaches

Want a great souvenir from the National? Why not order a screen print logo tee-- available in gray, navy and red.  You can wear your support for the National on your sleeve, as it were! Poolside party?

We are thinking of asking the Eisenhower Hotel to open the tiki bar which is in the pool courtyard on Wednesday July 11th from 8-10:00 PM during the National. Wednesday is lure coursing day, and there is no event scheduled for the evening. Would anyone be interested in a casual get-together in the pool courtyard? Email me at lbcranmer@juno.com if you think you'd like to attend.

Rau Premium List is Posted and in Mail!

It will be arriving in the mail promptly, also. This premium list is for sweeps, conformation, obedience and rally. See the entries link on the website for other the premium lists for other events. Don't forget to make your entries before June 20th.

Additional ASFA Lure Coursing

The weekend before the National, Saturday July 7th and Sunday July 8th, an ASFA Grand Slam weekend of trials is being held at Hanover Shoe Farms--is the site of this year's National lure coursing trials. African Stock Exhibit Catalog Ads

The African Exhibition catalog this year is doing catalog ads. They are very inexpensive ($20 full page, $10 half page) and are a nice way to show your support for New Afs and for the African Exhibition..

Host Hotel Pool

Bring your bathing suit! The host hotel has a lovely tropical courtyard with an indoor pool and  a retractible roof next to the Market Place Deli. You  can swim, eat a sandwich or just lounge around in the many seating areas there. We're planning to arrange a poolside party at the Tiki bar one day during the National, too.

Site Hotel

We went to visit the Eisenhower this Saturday while the Bernese Mountain Dogs were having BOB at their National. We were very impressed with how clean the grounds and hotel were for the last day of a National. We also were reminded of how spacious the grounds and inside areas of the hotel are--perfect for meeting up with friends! The hotel is set well back from the road and is surrounded by many green, grassy areas on which to walk your dogs or catch up with friends for a chat in one of the little gazebos or on one of the benches. http://www.eisenhower.com/

Fun Night

Tuesday July 10th is Fun Night hosted by the MABC. All basenjis are welcome.  Come have fun with your basenjis and friends. Have you made your hotel reservation yet?  The Eisenhower has received over 600 room night reservations already for the National.  It will be THE place to be!  Please book your room soon if you are planning to arrive early in the week as Monday night is filling up quickly.
